The Scuola Superiore ISUFI (SSI) at University of Lecce
The Scuola Superiore ISUFI (SSI) is one of six "Scuola Superiore" in Italy. SSI is the first Scuola Superiore in continental Italy that is south of Pisa (Tuscany). SSI was founded in 1999, and in 2005, after a five-year experimentation phase, was established with its own special governance at the University of Lecce by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). SSI's Director is Prof. Aldo Romano and the school follows the model of the Scuola Normale of Pisa: selecting young, talented students from Italy and abroad to follow learning paths (either before, after or in parallel with their main degree programs) in one of the following four section of the SSI:
